Job summary

TRS Resourcing is sourcing a Sheet Metal Machine Operator for a leading architectural metalwork company based in the Melbourne area.

You will operate a Durma Pressbreak and handle thin-gauge sheet metal, supporting bespoke architectural projects. Strong drawing interpretation and clear communication are essential, with experience in fabricating varied metal components.

Qualifications

• Durma Pressbreak operation with Cybelec 15T controller.
• Program folds and adjust folds.
• Handling sheet metal from 0.8mm to 3mm thick.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Read and interpret workshop/engineering drawings.
• Fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Durma Pressbreak and handle thin-gauge sheet metal.
• Set out and interpret drawings for fabrication.
• Program folds and make fold adjustments.
• Contribute to architectural bespoke metalwork projects.
• Maintain safety and quality in workshop operations.

Sheet Metal Machine Operator

TRS Resourcing is sourcing and screening suitable, trade-qualified Sheetmetal Machine Operator for our client, a leading architectural metalwork company based in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Your responsibilities will include operating a Durma Pressbreak and handling thin-gauge sheet metal. Ideally, we need a candidate with experience in architectural bespoke metalwork, as all client jobs will be different.

Successful Candidates Must Be Able To Demonstrate The Following

• Durma Pressbreak, with Cybelec 15T controller
• Program folds & make fold adjustments
• Handling thin-gauge sheet metal (0.8mm thick), through to thicker gauge material (3mm thick)
• Extremely strong communication skills
• Set out and interpret workshop/engineering drawings
• Fabrication experience
