About HDR

Due to increasing project demand across sectors including Federal, Education & Science, Healthcare and Tech/Media/Telecom (Data Centres), HDR is looking for talented individuals, typically with 3-8 years of relevant experience, who can independently produce detailed, high-quality construction drawings and documentation packages in the following roles: Registered Architect.

Please note: Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet eligibility for Baseline or higher Government Security Clearances.

About You

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary education in Architecture or related field.
  • High proficiency in key software including Revit; Rhino is required.
  • Experience with Federal, Education & Science, Healthcare and Tech/Media/Telecom & Data sectors is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating the architectural design process, developing alternative solutions, and creating presentation graphics to communicate concepts.
  • Ability to independently produce high-quality schematic, design development and construction documentation.
  • Strong visualization skills including study models, renderings, montages, diagrams and presentations to clearly communicate design intent.
  • Understanding of key compliance requirements including DA, CC, BCA/NCC, DDA, and ability to align documentation with codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate complex designs and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Proactive, agile working style with openness to contributing to multiple sectors/workstreams.
  • Australian citizenship to meet eligibility for Baseline or higher Government Security Clearances – required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
  • A minimum of 5 years professional or internship experience preparing details, specifications and construction documents
  • Must possess credentials to obtain future registration
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Desire to pursue growth opportunities and eventually obtain registration
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
