What is the role?

As an Arborist with Active Tree Services, you’ll spend your days in some of the city’s most iconic parks and vibrant streetscapes - caring for heritage trees, leafy avenues, and stunning landscapes as part of our long-term City of Sydney contract. The key responsibility of this role is to conduct detailed inspections of the urban forest to determine whether trees meet required specifications. You will rotate throughout the day between duties such as:

• Managing compliance
• Auditing trees
• Assessing pest/disease issues
• Emergency response

• Cert V in Horticulture or Arboriculture
• Industry knowledge of local tree species, tree maintenance and tree removal
• The ability to work safely
