Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking an Aquatic Operations Coordinator at Brennan Park Swimming Pool in Bendigo to lead the aquatics team and oversee daily operations with a strong focus on safety and high-quality service.

The role involves coaching Duty Managers and Lifeguards, enforcing hazard prevention, and ensuring compliance with policies and statutory requirements. Seasonal venue Nov–Apr, with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, evacuation, and emergency procedures.
• Experience with plant room management and pool operations essential.
• Availability for mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day facility operations with safety and service quality in mind.
• Lead, coach and engage Duty Managers and Lifeguards.
• Manage hazard prevention and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure operations meet statutory requirements and audits.

This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Aquatic Operations Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team!

The Role

The AquaticOperations Coordinator primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high quality service delivery. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and engaging a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards, hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements.

Seasonal venue Nov - April

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrated experience of plant room management and Pool operations is essential
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current Pool Operations Certificate
