Job summary

Banyule Leisure is hiring Aquatics Education Instructors on a casual basis to teach water safety and swimming across weekdays and weekends in Melbourne. You will supervise classes, provide feedback, and help participants progress in a supportive team.

Mandatory CPR and Swim/Water Safety Teacher qualifications are required, with First Aid (Level 2) desirable. We offer an hourly rate of $45.98 (casual loading included) with flexible shifts to fit around study or other commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learn to Swim programs is desirable.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage classes safely and effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children and families.

Responsibilities

Inspire. Educate. Make a Splash. Are you passionate about teaching water safety and helping people develop essential swimming skills? Banyule Leisure is looking for enthusiastic Aquatics Education Instructors to join our team on a casual basis to work across the week and at weekends.

You’ll be working in a fun, supportive, and professional team environment where you will be making a difference by teaching essential swimming and water safety/survival skills. You will be providing aquatic program participants and parents with appropriate feedback and encouragement with respect to progress.

• Supervise classes to ensure the safety of all aquatic program participants
• Instruct classes in water safety, survival skills and rescue techniques, stroke technique and stroke correction
• Develop and maintain a professional and friendly relationship with all aquatic program participants and parents

• Experience working within a Learn to Swim Program (desirable).
• Excellent communication skills.
