Job description

This is a part-time opportunity, up to 4 days or 30 hours per week. Salary will be paid to part-time employees on a pro-rata basis.

Overview of the Team

The Strategic Communications Unit sits in the wider Marketing and Communications Team and is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of Comcare by developing and delivering external communications products, services and messages for Comcare. The team also offers graphic design services and works collaboratively across the business to deliver best-practice external communications.

Overview of the Role

The Senior Strategic Communications Officer works with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to drive communications campaigns and create and deliver Comcare’s suite of information assets. The Senior Strategic Communications Officer develops communication strategies, guiding stakeholders to ensure their messaging is clear, fit for purpose and disseminated through appropriate channels. Supporting the vision of the Marketing and Communications team, the position will write compelling copy and encourage best practice communication. This includes ensuring consistency across all communications in line with brand guidelines and best practice.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, public relations or similar field are highly desirable.

Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment

  • Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
  • Employee Health Declaration.
  • Six months probationary period for new engagements.
