Job summary

NDIA's Technology Services Division is seeking an APS6 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire) to design and implement RESTful APIs and support CI/CD workflows in Australia.

You will develop real-time dashboards, integrate ALM tools like Gitlab, Jira and Teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain system performance and reliability. This role requires strong DevOps practices and excellent communication.

Based in Melbourne, this on-site role offers exposure to critical national ICT initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for monitoring application performance and user metrics.
• Identify issues and support resolution of technical problems during iterations.
• Develop and maintain applications and scripts to reduce development chores.
• Implement APIs and integrate with ALM tools such as Gitlab, Jira, and Microsoft Teams.
• Define plans to optimize application performance and support CI/CD processes.
• Demonstrate effective communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Support DevOps initiatives such as CI/CD, code deployment and system automation.

The NDIA, Technology Services Division (TSD) is undertaking major work programs to deliver innovative fit-for-need ICT-based solutions to improve the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

The APS6 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire) will be responsible to design and implement RESTful APIs to support various application functionalities.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for monitoring application performance and user metrics.
• Identify issues and/or errors and support the resolution of any technical problems that arise during iterations.
• Develop and maintain applications and scripts that reduces development chores.
• Implement APIs to support various application functionalities and integrate with ALM tooling such as Gitlab, Jira, Microsoft Teams.
• Define a plan to optimize Scheme Digital Platforms application performance and support designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process.
• Demonstrate effective communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
• Support DevOps initiatives such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, code deployment and system automation, ultimately ensuring that complex systems are operating optimally.
