Job summary

NDIA in Canberra is seeking an APS6 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire) to design and implement RESTful APIs to support multiple application functions. The role focuses on building real-time dashboards and enabling CI/CD across projects within the Technology Services Division.

The successful candidate will coordinate with stakeholders, implement automation scripts, and integrate ALM tools like GitLab and Jira to improve system reliability and performance in a Canberra-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for monitoring application performance and user metrics.
• Identify issues and support the resolution of technical problems during iterations.
• Develop and maintain applications and scripts that reduces development chores.
• Implement APIs to support various functionalities and integrate with ALM tooling such as Gitlab, Jira, Microsoft Teams.
• Define a plan to optimize Scheme Digital Platforms application performance and support designing, building, testing, and maintaining CI/CD processes.
• Demonstrate effective communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Support DevOps initiatives such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, code deployment and system automation.

The APS6 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire) will be responsible to design and implement RESTful APIs to support various application functionalities.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for monitoring application performance and user metrics.
• Identify issues and/or errors and support the resolution of any technical problems that arise during iterations.
• Develop and maintain applications and scripts that reduces development chores.
• Implement APIs to support various application functionalities and integrate with ALM tooling such as Gitlab, Jira, Microsoft Teams.
• Define a plan to optimize Scheme Digital Platforms application performance and support designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process.
• Demonstrate effective communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
• Support DevOps initiatives such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, code deployment and system automation, ultimately ensuring that complex systems are operating optimally.
