Zusammenfassung

The Australian Treasury is seeking an APS5 Payroll and People System Officer to join the Payroll and People Systems Unit. You will finalise post-payroll processing, administer pay and leave entitlements, and provide accurate payroll services to staff across the Treasury and AOFM.

Working in a collaborative team, you will maintain confidential payroll records, support system improvements, and ensure compliance with payroll policies and legislation while delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in HR management functions.
• Ability to work with limited guidance and prioritise tasks.
• Understanding of payroll processes and HR legislation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with payroll software such as Aurion.

Aufgaben

• Finalise fortnightly post payroll processing, fund disbursement and reporting in line with requirements.
• Administer pay and leave entitlements, including complex pay and superannuation processes.
• Provide high-quality customer service with accurate payroll advice to employees and managers.
• Maintain confidential payroll and personnel records per policies and privacy rules.
• Complete quality checks to ensure payroll cut off periods are met.
• Contribute to SOPs, checklists and training materials; support HR tech improvements.
