The Data & Analytics Branch supports the NDIA by providing high quality data, analysis and reporting. It also assists to build data literacy capability across the Agency.

The Analytics Chapter is a creative, effective, responsive and technically skilled data analyst team working collaboratively to produce consistent and accurate reports and insights to improve Scheme performance.

The APS5 Analyst is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex data analysis and reporting. It is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents to execute analytics functions within the branch.

It is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and allocating work to other lower level team members within a team.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Analysing and interpreting data to produce value-adding reporting products and data assets.
  • Collaborating with business areas to ensure consistent analytics, actions and messaging across the Agency.
  • Delivering business intelligence analytics that provide accurate analysis and key insights, and are presented appropriately for the audience.
  • Developing and delivering strong methodology and business resources to enable the Agency to respond to emerging performance risks and opportunities.
  • Communicating complex information to key stakeholders with varied levels of data literacy.
