APS 5 - Administration and Governance Support Officer

The role offers a salary of $86,887 - $93,066 + up to 15.4% Superannuation and is located in Russell, ACT.

The Role

We are currently looking to fill roles in the following Defence teams:

  • Enterprise Governance and Defence Boards (oversight)
  • Associate Secretary Group Coordination Unit
  • Enterprise Committees

As a member of one of these teams, you will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders from across Defence and Government to support our senior leadership to deliver on Defence's mission to defend Australia and its national interests.

The teams analyze information from diverse sources and develop a range of written products – including briefs and reports – to support decision-making. You will engage with line areas to assist in the development of Ministerial submissions, cabinet submissions, and other briefing material.

You will be required to build and sustain effective relationships and work collaboratively to achieve results, seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement.

About our Team

The Branch comprises primarily of core governance functions, including the collective management of internal committee business and external boards management. Through the provision of best practice Governance advice across the Enterprise, it seeks to uplift governance practices and performance.
