You will be part of a skilled team delivering and sustaining cutting-edge capability to AGO, Defence and the National Intelligence Community. Our projects solve complex problems and contribute directly to the security and defence of Australia. Your work contributes directly to AGO’s ability to produce geospatial-intelligence, acquire imagery, and incorporate automation and AI/ML as a force multiplier for the GEOINT workforce. GCD needs skilled, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who can:

About our Team

Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is responsible for the delivery of cutting-edge capability that supports the Australian Defence Force, the National Intelligence Community, and other areas of Government. This is done in AGO’s GEOINT Capability Delivery Branch (GCD).

This branch has project managers, support officers, systems engineers, ICT security specialists, enterprise and systems architects, business analysts, finance specialists, contracting and procurement officers who work together and with customers to design, build and sustain GEOINT capability.

This is what some of our team have said:

  • We get to work with very interesting technology and our focus is on leading developments ahead of the capability demand.
  • I get to engage and collaborate with key local and international partners in systems development and integration.
  • A main driver for why I wanted to work for AGO is continued service to Defence (after leaving Army), supporting development of capability that has current and future real effects.
Our Ideal Candidate

We want authentic individuals who can provide clear advice and build trust, while supporting and empowering our people to ensure an engaged and motivated workforce. There will be opportunities for you to nurture the partnerships we have with our stakeholders by advocating for transparency and collaboration with confidence. • A focus on outcomes.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Support to strategic direction.

We recruit candidates of all backgrounds, cultures, genders, neurodiversity, and abilities. We are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workforce and will embrace your identity while appreciating the value of your unique contributions to the AGO mission.
