Job summary

Kuipers Engineering in New South Wales invites applicants for an Apprentice Vehicle Body Builder (Bus, Truck and Trailer). You will undertake a NSW Australian Apprenticeship to complete a Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations and learn alongside skilled tradespeople while helping build and fit out emergency and specialist vehicles.

You will assist with assembling vehicle bodies, reading technical drawings, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in Australia.
• Current NSW or Australian driver’s licence, or willingness to obtain one.
• Genuine interest in a career in vehicle manufacturing and body building.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to working safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified tradespeople to assemble, fit and fabricate vehicle bodies, panels, cabinetry and components.
• Learn to read technical drawings and build specifications.
• Follow WHS procedures and keep your work area clean and safe.
• Complete job records and training documentation accurately.
• Attend scheduled training with the RTO and apply learnings at work.
