Frizelle Sunshine Automotive on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW is offering Automotive Apprenticeships as an Apprentice Technician Mechanic. This role provides hands-on experience servicing and repairing a range of vehicles within a supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or ready to begin a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Current driver's licence required.
• Year 12 completion preferred.
• Commitment to learning and apprenticeship training.
• Reliable, punctual and team oriented with curiosity about vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out logbook services and scheduled maintenance across various makes and models.
• Assist qualified technicians with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment correctly to build practical skills.
• Keep workspace clean, safe and organized in a busy workshop.
• Progress through a structured apprenticeship combining on-the-job training with formal qualification.

About the role:

This Apprentice Technician Mechanic role gives you hands-on experience servicing and repairing a range of quality vehicles within a supportive workshop environment.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Carrying out logbook services and scheduled maintenance, giving you exposure to a broad range of makes and models early in your career
• Assisting qualified technicians with mechanical repairs, so every job is a chance to learn something new
• Using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment correctly, building practical confidence that stays with you throughout your career
• Keeping your work area tidy and safe, reinforcing the professional habits that workshops respect
• Working through a structured apprenticeship program that combines on-the-job training with your formal qualification

About you:

You are someone who takes pride in doing things properly and wants to grow into a skilled, qualified technician.

More about you:

• You have enrolled in or are ready to begin a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• A current driver's licence is essential, as moving vehicles is part of the everyday role
• Completion of Year 12 (preferred)
• Commitment to learning and professional development, including attending apprenticeship training
• Reliable and punctual, you understand that the workshop runs on teamwork and trust
• Comfortable taking direction and asking questions, because curiosity is how apprentices get ahead
