Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. is offering an Apprentice Technician placement in the Earthmoving Division based in Perth.

You will learn to service and support a range of earthmoving equipment used in construction and civil projects, while earning a qualification that can launch a long career in a growing industry. Starting Monday 18th January 2027, you’ll work alongside skilled technicians, gain real-world experience, and complete apprenticeship training with required trade school attendance,

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
  • Genuine interest in mechanical equipment and developing a long-term trade career.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills for training documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance and overhaul of heavy equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical faults.
  • Safely operate workshop tools and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Complete apprenticeship training, attend trade school and keep training records.
  • Work across service areas and participate in on‑the‑job training to build experience.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults while developing strong technical skills.
  • Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Successfully complete your apprenticeship training, attend required trade school and maintain training records.
  • Work across different service areas and participate in on-the-job training to build broad industry experience.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in everything you do.
