Job summary

BYD Nowra is seeking a third-year or higher Light Vehicle Apprentice to grow skills in electric vehicles. You will work under supervision with qualified mechanics, learn diagnostics with modern tools, and participate in EV training programs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a 3rd year or higher Light Vehicle Apprentice.
• Interest in EVs and automotive technology.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s licence (or working towards it).
• Hands-on experience with EV brands.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing and repairing vehicles under supervision.
• Learn to diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tools.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake servicing, and battery testing.
• Follow safety procedures and workshop best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Participate in ongoing EV and technical training.
