Autosports Group is recruiting a 1st year Apprentice Technician for Mercedes-Benz Canberra. You’ll learn under experienced technicians, work on cutting-edge Mercedes-Benz models, and complete a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

You’ll be mentored in a supportive environment, with state-of-the-art equipment and opportunities to progress to fully qualified technician. Pre-employment checks and rights in Australia apply.

• Currently eligible to commence a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Hardworking, curious and coachable attitude – we will teach you everything else

Responsabilités

• Assist qualified technicians with servicing, maintenance, and repairs under supervision
• Learn to use workshop tools and Mercedes-Benz diagnostic systems
• Complete vehicle inspection reports with guidance
• Photograph findings and damage for records
• Keep workshop bay clean, safe, and organized
• Complete on- and off-the-job training for Certificate III
• Engage actively, ask questions and take ownership of progress

Position Scope

• Assist qualified technicians with scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Mercedes-Benz vehicles under supervision, performing tasks within your current competency level
• Learn to use workshop tools, equipment, and Mercedes-Benz diagnostic systems progressively as your skills develop
• Complete vehicle inspection reports accurately and thoroughly under the guidance of your supervising technician
• Photograph all significant findings and existing vehicle damage, recording them in Triage and on the repair order as directed
• Maintain your workshop bay in a clean, safe, and organised condition at all times
• Complete all on-the-job and off-the-job training requirements for your Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Actively engage with every learning opportunity — ask questions, pay attention, and take ownership of your own progress
• Represent Autosports Group values of integrity, quality, and teamwork

• A genuine passion for cars and a desire to build a long-term career in the automotive industry
• Currently eligible to commence a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• A hardworking, curious, and coachable attitude — we will teach you everything else
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from experienced technicians
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a professional approach from day one
• Valid driver’s licence (or working towards one)
• No prior experience required — just the right attitude and a commitment to your trade
