Job summary

Newcastle Made Joinery is seeking a hands-on apprentice to learn joinery and shop fit-out across residential and commercial projects. You will train with skilled tradespeople, work in the factory and on-site, and travel to client locations in Newcastle, Sydney and beyond.

We value punctuality, reliability and enthusiasm, and offer on-the-job training with TAFE enrolment. Weekend work may be required, and a White Card is expected or obtainable quickly.

Qualifications

• Must be a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual.
• Genuine interest in joinery and shop fit-out beyond kitchens.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in Newcastle, Sydney and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Learn the trade through on‑the‑job training and TAFE enrolment.
• Work in both the factory and on-site in a collaborative team.
• Travel to client sites and possibly work weekends as required.
• No prior industry experience required, though it helps.

We’re after an apprentice who is punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic.

What are we looking for in YOU?

• Above all, we want someone who is a team player with a positive attitude – the rest you can learn in our factory and on-site;
• You’d need a genuine interest in joinery and shop fit-out (nope, we’re not just talking about kitchens, we’re talking full shop fitouts!);
• Willingness to travel is a must because we have clients in Newcastle, Sydney and beyond. You must also be able to work the odd weekend as needed;
• Previous construction industry experience is a bonus; though by no means essential; and
• You’ll need a drivers license, plus a White Card (or be willing to get one ASAP).
