Andrews Meat at the Riverina Plant seeks an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter to start a structured training path combining on‑the‑job learning with TAFE study. You will gain hands-on experience under qualified tradespeople and progress toward full qualification.

Responsibilities include on and off‑the‑job training, following safety procedures, and collaborating with the maintenance team to support production and maintenance tasks during shifts.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship pathway with support for training at TAFE.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in trades.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently and adapt to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Participate and complete the necessary on and off the job training in order to become a fully qualified fitter.
• Following safe work practices and procedures.
• Working with and under the supervision of tradespeople.
• Following all instructions from tradespeople and supervisors and attend TAFE as required.
