Evolution Mining invites applications for an Apprentice Diesel Fitter at Mungari Operations in Kalgoorlie, WA. You’ll begin a structured apprenticeship, learning your trade on-site in an underground and surface mining environment, while gaining hands-on experience under experienced Diesel Fitters and maintenance professionals.

Responsabilités

• Service, maintain and repair heavy mining equipment and mobile plant.
• Assist with breakdown repairs and fault finding activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Complete component change-outs and equipment inspections.
• Develop mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Work across a diverse fleet of underground and surface equipment.
• Gain exposure to heavy vehicles and ancillary plant.

What’s the opportunity?

As an Apprentice Diesel Fitter, you'll undertake a structured apprenticeship program while learning your trade in a modern underground and surface mining environment.

Working alongside experienced Diesel Fitters and maintenance professionals, you'll gain hands‑on experience maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy mining equipment while completing your trade qualification through TAFE.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will learn to:

This is an entry‑level opportunity designed for people who enjoy working with their hands, have a keen interest in mechanics and are looking to build a long‑term career in the mining industry.

This position is based on a 7 day on, 7 day off dayshift only roster, and is residential to Kalgoorlie .
