Job summary

Green by Nature in Windsor, NSW, is seeking an Apprentice Greenkeeper to gain hands-on experience maintaining a golf course while working toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.

You will learn turf maintenance, mowing, irrigation, turf renovation, pest and weed control, and safe operation of turf machinery, with mentoring from experienced greenkeepers and uniform/PPE provided.

Job description

As an Apprentice Greenkeeper, you'll gain hands-on experience maintaining a beautiful golf course while developing the practical skills and industry knowledge needed for a successful career in turf management. You'll work alongside experienced Greenkeepers while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.

About you

• Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Is reliable and willing to learn
• Takes pride in producing high-quality work
• Works well as part of a team
• Has a genuine interest in sport, turf, horticulture or the outdoors
• Holds a drivers licence or is working towards obtaining one
• Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, sports turf, gardening or outdoor work is advantageous but not essential
• Earn while you complete your qualification
• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management supported by Green by Nature
• Mentoring from experienced Greenkeeping professionals
