Job summary

AKD Softwoods in Tumut, NSW is offering a full-time Fitter Apprentice position at our Tumut site. You will work hands-on to maintain and repair production equipment, learn welding and mechanical processes, and progressively qualify through Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on capability.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools.
• Component repair and assembly.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings & manuals.
• Problem solving and fixing faults.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance.
• Responding to breakdown events.
