Metso is looking for an Apprentice Caster & Moulder to join their team in Ballina, New South Wales.

Responsibilities
  • Perform specific engineering measurements as required in the Foundry.
  • Responsible for the preparation of sand moulds for the casting process.
  • Liaise with Patternmakers and Metallurgist about casting designs.
  • Be responsible by following instructions under a professionally structured training programme.
  • Use a range of tools, equipment and machinery in the production process of creating cores, moulds and subsequent metal castings.
  • Prepare and mix sand for moulds and cores production.
  • Learn and become an expert in the calibration of moulding sand mixers.
  • Identifying casting defects and learning how to eliminate them.
