You will learn carpentry and general building, assist with residential renovations, work on new builds, extensions, repairs, and maintenance, and gain hands-on experience under supervision.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Interest in carpentry, building and construction
• Taking pride in workmanship
• Willingness to work outdoors and be hands-on
• Basic maths and measuring skills

• Ability to show initiative and have a go; must have
• Driver's Licence or on pathway to obtain
• Construction White Card (must be obtained prior to commencing on site)
• Working at Heights (WAH) or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Learning all aspects of carpentry and general building
• Assisting with residential building and renovation projects
• Working on new builds, extensions, repairs and maintenance
• Helping with framing, cladding, flooring, decking and fit-outs
• Reading and understanding basic plans and measurements
• Using hand tools, power tools and building equipment safely
• Loading, unloading and organising materials
• Following workplace health and safety requirements
• Working alongside qualified tradespeople and learning on the job
• Attending trade training as part of your apprenticeship
• Building practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge
