Job summary

CBH in Western Australia invites applications for an apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance at the Kwinana Grain Terminal. This trainee program provides training, mentorship, and supervision from experienced tradespeople, with a focus on safety and hands-on learning.

Roster is standard Monday to Friday with some weekend work during harvest. Completion of a pre-vocational program is desirable but not essential; a C class licence and basic computer skills help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pre-vocational training program (desirable but not essential).
• Interest in a career in mechanical maintenance is encouraged.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs to bulk handling equipment (elevators, conveyors, fixed and portable machinery).
• Assist with installation of new equipment and troubleshooting breakdowns as required.
