Job summary

Sunshine Sugar is offering an Apprenticeship for 2027 in Boilermaker at Broadwater Mill. The program provides structured on-the-job training with experienced tradespeople, covering fabrication, welding and equipment operation.

You will gain hands-on experience and work toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication, with weekly TAFE attendance. Successful candidates will join a supportive team, learn on a diverse range of industrial equipment unique to a sugar mill,

Qualifications

Completion of high school (or completion prior to start of the apprenticeship) with a commitment to learning.
Good mechanical aptitude and an interest in practical, hands-on work.
Willingness to follow directions and work in a team environment.
Commitment to ensuring a safe & healthy working environment for all.

Responsibilities

Learn to produce fabricated metal products such as structures, frames, plate assemblies, pipework and vessels using fabrication techniques, welding processes and thermal cutting equipment.
Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment including drills, grinders, benders and lifting equipment.
Receive structured on-the-job training and support from experienced tradespeople to help you develop the skills required to become a qualified Boilermaker.
Upon completion, obtain a nationally recognised trade Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication.
