Kick‑start a rewarding trade career in Boilermaking with a hands‑on, competency‑based apprenticeship that puts you at the heart of real‑world engineering work. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will build practical skills through a blend of formal training and on‑the‑job learning in a fast‑paced, technical environment.
You will play an active role in maintaining Council’s mechanical and water/wastewater assets to a high standard, gaining experience in repair, replacement, installation, design and fabrication of plant and equipment. Along the way, you will work with an impressive range of tools and machinery — including lathes, grinding machines, hydraulic presses, and welding gear — developing the skills that define a highly sought‑after trade.
This role includes completing a 4‑year Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking) through TAFE North Queensland, providing a strong foundation for a long‑term career in engineering and fabrication.
