Job summary

Chatswood and Ryde Toyota is offering a 1st year apprentice service technician to join our service department at Ryde Toyota in our Service and Parts Centre.

You will gain hands-on experience, learn from qualified technicians and work towards a nationally recognised qualification. Bring curiosity and a willingness to learn, and we’ll help you build the skills and confidence to succeed.

Qualifications

• Must have a current driver’s licence and be able to drive manual.
• Commitment to completing an apprenticeship.
• Interest in cars and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic servicing and repair of mechanical vehicle parts (engine, transmission, suspension).
• Diagnose vehicle issues to ensure correct operation under dealer warranty.
• Perform minor repairs to engine, transmission and suspension systems.
• Install optional extras to new vehicles as required.
• Report all work to the service manager and record in in‑house systems.
• Order parts needed as part of warranty service.
• Maintain a safe working environment and correct operation of tools and equipment.
• Provide high level guest service to dealership guests.
• Demonstrate behaviours that align with Toyota Way and contribute to a positive team spirit.
