Job summary

MRAEL in Western Australia is hiring an Apprentice and Employment Consultant to manage a diverse caseload of apprentices and trainees, guiding them from their first steps to successful completion. You will build strong connections with host employers and training partners to deliver tailored workforce solutions.

We are seeking candidates with proven sales and relationship-building skills, a solid understanding of VET, and the drive to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and grow caseload of apprentices and partner organisations.
• Build and maintain relationships with apprentices, host employers, RTOs and other partners.
• Mentor apprentices, conduct site visits and performance management.
• Provide guidance to host employers and oversee on-the-job training.
• Schedule TAFE bookings and support ongoing performance counselling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive business development and sales to grow your caseload of apprentices and partner organisations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Australian Apprentices, Host Employers, Registered Training Organisations, and other essential partners.
• Mentor and support apprentices, conducting site visits and performance management to ensure their success.
• Provide candid and actionable guidance to host employers
• Schedule TAFE bookings and oversee on-the-job training, providing ongoing support and performance counselling when needed.

This is a dynamic role suited for an agile professional who enjoys high-productivity environments and managing high-priority, competing priorities.

The position is based in Welshpool.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in sales and business development, with a knack for relationship building.
• A strong understanding of theVocational Education and Training (VET)sector.
• A strong understanding of employment needs, with apprentice mentoring experience highly regarded.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills - you're a people person at heart!
• Initiative, drive, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Desirable - plumbing background or experience (not essential!)
• Proven ability tonavigate sensitive stakeholder discussionsanddeliver constructive feedback.
• Experience within aGroup Training Organisation (GTO),Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or working withan ACAPis highly regarded.
