Profile Solutions in NSW is offering a paid on-the-job training role leading to a recognised mechanical engineering trade qualification through a TAFE/RTO partner. You will learn under experienced tradespeople and engineers while developing practical skills on real projects.

The program includes mentoring, PPE and safety training, and potential long-term employment upon completion; applicants should be hands-on, reliable, and able to follow instructions in a team setting.

This role combines paid on-the-job training with formal study through TAFE (RTO), leading to a recognised qualification in a mechanical engineering trade. You will work under the guidance of experienced tradespeople and engineers while developing valuable technical and practical skills. Learn how to be a great tradesperson and be exposed to interesting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical fitting, assembly, and fabrication
• Learn to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and fault finding
• Conduct measurements and basic quality checks
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety requirements
• Leant to be a great tradesperson

About you

• Strong interest in mechanical engineering or mechanical trades
• Commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship
• Good numeracy and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Desirable: Driver's licence or reliable transport
