UNSW is seeking a Statistical Consultant (Research) to apply statistical expertise across diverse university research projects. The role involves study design, analysis, and clear communication of results to researchers from different backgrounds.

The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Kensington, Sydney, full-time (35 hours/week). Applicants with a PhD in Applied Statistics are encouraged to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• PhD in Applied Statistics or related discipline.
• Experience in design and analysis of clinical trials and health research.
• Ability to mentor research staff and communicate statistical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Advise on or lead study design, analysis, and reporting of results across disciplines.
• Work with researchers on contracts and cross-disciplinary studies.
• Provide statistical mentoring and support to UNSW staff.
