Job summary

Civeo is hiring an Appliance Technician for Coppabella Village, Queensland, on a 7 days on/7 days off DIDO or FIFO roster. You will perform reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance on village appliances across kitchens, laundry, and general equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Essential licence is Queensland Open/Unrestricted Electrical. Prior remote site experience and strong diagnostic skills are highly valued for success in this fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Open/Unrestricted Electrical Licence (essential).
• Experience in commercial appliance repair and maintenance.
• Previous FIFO/DIDO or remote site experience is highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote site environment.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, safety-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive, planned and preventative maintenance on village appliances.
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Repair and replace components (motors, elements, switches, belts, etc.).
• Install and upgrade appliances and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry and general village equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and legislative requirements.

Job description

This is a hands-on Appliance Technician role based at Coppabella Village, working across a large-scale accommodation site on a 7 days on, 7 days off DIDO or FIFO roster.

You will be responsible for delivering reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across a wide range of commercial kitchen, laundry and village appliances, ensuring assets are maintained safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and supporting a safe, comfortable experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive, planned and preventative maintenance on village appliances
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems
• Repair and replace components (motors, elements, switches, belts, etc.)
• Install and upgrade appliances and associated electrical infrastructure
• Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry and general village equipment

About You

Current Queensland Open/Unrestricted Electrical Licence (essential)
