Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced API Platform engineer to design, develop, and deploy features that enhance functionality, performance, and reliability of our API platform. You will collaborate across teams and mentor others while migrating APIs to Apigee and ensuring security and scalability.

Qualifications

• Full-stack development experience with frontend and backend.
• Expertise with API Platform proxies, shared flows, policies, and security.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud and Azure APIM is beneficial.
• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code experience.
• Experience in at least one language (Java, Python, Node.js, Go).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new features for the API Platform to improve functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Act as SME for the API Platform, guiding complex API challenges and contributing to technical design decisions.
• Partner with internal teams to onboard and migrate APIs to Apigee, offering mentorship and hands‑on support.
• Support operational health, security, scalability, and performance across cloud environments.
• Drive DevOps, automation, API governance, and developer experience via CI/CD, IaC, automated tests, and docs.
