Job summary

BioCatch seeks a customer-facing Threat Analyst to optimize client value with advanced analytics and fraud strategy. You will interact with C-levels to fraud investigators and work with global Threat Analysts to defend against digital fraud.

The role emphasizes data-driven fraud detection, SME support, and collaboration with Data Science, with primary locations in Sydney or Melbourne and frequent ANZ travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/graduate degree in CS/Math/Stats or related field.
• Experience with financial institutions’ fraud departments and/or fraud monitoring tools.
• Experience with SQL to intermediate/advanced level.
• Experience with Python and/or R (advantage).
• Understanding of statistical modeling techniques.
• Strong presentation skills with a proven record of presenting to a range of audience types.
• Willingness to travel around the ANZ to meet customers and lead onsite workshops.
• Good business and customer relationships; strong communications and teamwork; fast learner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with BioCatch customers to maximize value of BioCatch solutions.
• Provide SME support to customers to drive adoption of BioCatch in strategic plans.
• Collaborate with customers and BioCatch Data Science to optimize fraud detection with minimal friction for legitimate users.
• Use data-driven methods to prove value against success criteria for pilots and value proofs.
• Educate customers on BioCatch and Behavioral Biometrics for key problems and use cases.
• Deploy rules for acute fraud scenarios in collaboration with customers.
• Guide customers toward best practices and feed back to product strategy.
• Support BioCatch Sales with SME insights for new customer acquisitions.
