Job summary

CommBank is seeking an Advanced Analytics Analyst to use data, ML and AI to detect fraud and scams. You will uncover fraud patterns and deliver insights to improve detection, efficiency and customer outcomes, combining hands-on technical work with business understanding in a fast-paced fraud environment.

You'll work in the Cards Fraud and Scams team, applying cloud technologies and AI tools to develop practical, data-driven solutions for operational teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analytics or data science or a related field.
• Proficient in Python or R with SQL.
• Experience using GitHub or similar version-control platform.
• Exposure to ML, Generative AI or AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Google Cloud or Databricks.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
