Job summary

Fever is seeking a Tax Manager to lead the Tax team and shape global tax compliance and strategy for a fast‑growing, international group. You will work closely with the Head of Tax to own tax calendars, manage audits, and drive tax planning across multiple jurisdictions while supporting business growth.

The role requires 5+ years of senior tax experience, APAC focus, and strong leadership. Hybrid work in Madrid with relocation support and exposure to a dynamic, global technology leader.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of senior taxation experience with APAC focus.
• Proven experience managing or leading team members.
• Strong ability to establish and monitor tax calendars.
• Finance-oriented mindset with broad European tax knowledge.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing tax team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Own and manage the comprehensive tax calendar for both direct and indirect taxes across all jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and review the indirect and direct tax compliance processes.
• Research and analyse specific indirect and direct taxation matters and provide tailored advice.
• Identify risks and potential tax planning opportunities.
• Determine uncertain tax exposures and manage appropriate taxation provisioning.
• Collaborate with third‑party service providers as required.
• Work with the Finance & Accounting teams to ensure adequate knowledge and application of taxation laws.
• Support all indirect and direct tax audits / inquiries from tax authorities.
• Preparation of applications for taxation rulings, tax incentives and exemptions where available.
• Provide advice to senior management on taxation risks and transaction structures.
• Contribute to improvements and solutions of tax processes.

Meet the team

At Fever, the Tax team makes sure we stay on top of tax compliance across the group: from sales taxes and deal structuring to reporting obligations and identifying tax opportunities. We work closely with external advisors to validate tax criteria, ensure accurate reporting and drive to optimize processes that streamline the finance function. We also define tax parameters for new business activities, solve compliance issues across markets, and continuously improve tools and processes to support the wider organization.

The Role

As a Tax Manager, you will be playing a key role within Fever’s Tax practice, working closely with the Head of Tax and the rest of the team, helping with the tax compliance and tax strategy of the Group.

You will be expected to demonstrate ownership, leadership, and proactivity, getting things done in the tax area of a global, high‑growth business.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a growing tax team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Own and manage the comprehensive tax calendar for both direct and indirect taxes across all relevant jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and review the indirect and direct tax compliance processes.
• Research and analyse specific indirect and direct taxation matters and provide tailored advice.
• Identify risks and potential tax planning opportunities.
• Determine uncertain tax exposures and manage appropriate taxation provisioning.
• Collaborate with third‑party service providers as required.
• Work with the Finance & Accounting teams to ensure adequate knowledge and application of taxation laws.
• Support all indirect and direct tax audits / inquiries from tax authorities (alongside third‑party providers and local finance teams).
• Preparation of applications for taxation rulings, tax incentives and tax exemptions where available.
• Provision of advice to senior management on taxation risks and appropriate transaction structures concerning acquisitions.
• Contribute to the improvements and the solutions of tax processes.

Who you are

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 5 years of relevant senior experience in taxation gained in practice or industry, with a focus on the APAC region.
• Proven experience managing, mentoring, or leading team members.
• Solid experience establishing and monitoring tax calendars for direct and indirect taxes.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Law, or Tax.
• Finance-oriented mindset with proven tax knowledge across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Proficient Excel user.
• You are a detail‑oriented, organized worker with strong project management skills.
• Fluent English. Other languages are a plus.
