Job summary

L3Harris Australia is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the team, delivering technically robust, operationally aligned architectures across Australia and APAC. You will blend deep technical insight with demonstrative capability to shape differentiated solutions supporting customer missions and operational needs.

The role requires engaging with Sales/BD, Engineering, and product teams to shorten sales cycles and clarify customer requirements, with travel across Australia and NZ as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in defense/public safety.
• Formal education is beneficial but offset by significant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to understand requirements and guide Account Managers in architecting technical solutions.
• Support Account Managers and events team with trade show planning, coordination, and on-site technical engagement.
• Convert customer challenges into solution opportunities by leveraging the full L3Harris portfolio to design differentiated system architectures.
• Deliver customer-facing solution content, including PowerPoint presentations, demonstrations, and technical white papers.
• Advise Sales on Level of Effort for proposed solutions to inform budgeting and decision making.
• Assist in opportunity qualification and contribute to the broader Sales Capture process.
• Administer and track budgets and associated work scope for Provisional Work Authority.
