Job summary

SLR Consulting Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane seeks a Practice Leader for Soils, Geochemistry, Toxicology & Risk to lead 40+ consultants across Asia Pacific. You will set strategy, mentor leaders, win work, and grow the practice while maintaining technical excellence and client focus.

You will manage a cross-disciplinary team across geochemistry, soils, erosion, toxicity and geomorphology, drive business development, and build high‑performing capabilities across regions with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years' experience in environmental consultancy.
• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering or similar.
• Post Grad qualifications will be held in high regard.
• Experience managing projects and teams across different geographies.
• Proven operations leadership within a technical consulting environment.
• Strong business development, client management and bid execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Practice Area with authenticity and vigour.
• Drive growth in line with market trends and opportunities.
• Manage resourcing to facilitate growth and maintain KPIs.
• Oversee risk, backlog and standards of excellence across projects.
• Foster collaboration across practices and promote knowledge sharing regionally.
• Engage with clients to drive brand awareness and market share.
