Job summary

DTEX seeks an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a strong software engineering background to modernize infrastructure and operations. You will design automation to provision, deploy, and configure environments, applying IaC and software principles to build resilient systems.

You will work with Python, Terraform, Ansible/Saltstack, and CI/CD to automate and optimize deployment, monitoring, and incident response across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong proficiency in Python with ability to write clean, testable code for infrastructure problems.
• Experience with Terraform including state management and modular design in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, Bash scripting, and command-line operations.
• Proficiency with Ansible and/or Saltstack for configuration management.
• Expert Git workflows and code review practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain software, primarily in Python, to automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration management of infrastructure.
• Contribute to Terraform adoption, state management, modularization, and version control best practices.
• Utilize Ansible and/or Saltstack to ensure consistency and repeatability across environments.
• Develop robust CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Implement and mature monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve reliability.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation and drive blameless postmortems and improvements.
