IMC Trading in Sydney seeks a Legal Counsel to advise on financial services regulatory, corporate and technology matters across APAC. You will partner with Trading, Technology, Finance and Compliance to enable growth while ensuring regulatory excellence.

Reporting to Senior Legal Counsel APAC, you will manage governance, review contracts, coordinate with global teams across HK, Mumbai, Amsterdam, Chicago and London, and support onboarding, licensing and policy updates across the region.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Law with top academic credentials.
• Admitted as a solicitor in Australia or another common-law jurisdiction.
• 6–9 years PQE in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department in financial services or tech sectors.
• Strong drafting, regulatory review and negotiation skills in English.
• Exposure to multiple APAC jurisdictions and cross-border transactions.

Responsabilités

• Advise on regulatory, corporate and technology matters across APAC.
• Coordinate and negotiate financial markets and trading agreements.
• Collaborate with APAC Compliance and Trading desks on licensing and onboarding.
• Review general commercial and technology contracts to support trading business.
• Build stakeholder relationships and coordinate with external counsel across APAC and IMC's global teams.
• Research and provide advice on emerging legal and regulatory issues in APAC markets.
• Update policies and procedures and identify continuous improvement areas.
• Assist with corporate governance, including board and committee preparations in APAC.
