Job summary

DroneShield is seeking a seasoned Field Service Engineering Team Lead to lead the APAC Field Service Engineers. The role balances leadership/operations (~70%) with hands-on technical support (~30%), ensuring deployments, support, and escalations are efficiently managed across regions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in field service or related roles, at least 2 years in people management, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field service or related experience.
• 2+ years in people management or team leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation ability.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Eligible for Australian NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Field Service Engineers across APAC.
• Oversee field deployments, repairs, upgrades, and customer technical support in line with SLAs and timelines.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, safety procedures, and training programs for field support.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Solutions, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Product teams for smooth handover from deployment to support.
• Provide leadership for escalated technical issues and critical field investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement of field support operations and scalability.
