Job summary

Climate Analytics Australia-Pacific seeks an Office Director to provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Australia-Pacific office, guiding regional strategy and ensuring high-impact policy outputs across the region.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage budgets and partnerships, and coordinate with global teams to advance climate policy, energy transition and 1.5°C commitments. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in climate related studies, environmental policy, energy systems, international relations, or a related field.
• 15 years of professional experience in climate policy or related fields, with a focus in policy and program work.
• Minimum 5 years in senior leadership or management roles.
• Experience leading climate policy or decarbonisation strategies in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
• Strong understanding of Australia’s energy policy and CSOs ecosystem.
• Proven ability to manage large funding and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific and policy content of the team's outputs, ensuring high quality and impact.
• Develop and implement the Australia-Pacific office strategy and growth priorities.
• Identify opportunities, risks, and adjust strategy accordingly.
• Represent Climate Analytics Australia-Pacific and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Oversee program development, fundraising, and partnerships.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.
