Job summary

Tradewind Australia is recruiting an experienced AOD Program Facilitator to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team delivering Alcohol and Other Drug support within a correctional environment in Lara. You will work directly with clients, facilitating groups and delivering practical harm reduction and relapse prevention interventions, with a focus on trauma-informed, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience in AOD, mental health or related human services settings.
• Knowledge of contemporary harm minimisation and recovery approaches.
• Experience facilitating groups or psychoeducational programs.
• Trauma-informed and person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AOD assessments and screenings with individuals in custody.
• Facilitate group programs focused on harm reduction, relapse prevention and recovery.
• Deliver release preparation and harm reduction education (Naloxone).
• Develop individual treatment and support plans.
• Support clients to identify coping strategies and reduce relapse risk.
• Maintain accurate case notes and program documentation.
• Collaborate with health, justice and reintegration services.
