Job summary

Troocoo Pty is seeking a SharePoint specialist to join an intranet upgrade for a Queensland state government client. You will migrate content from Classic to Modern, rebuild IA, and improve searchability.

You will work with the Digital/UX Project Officer and the Online team to transfer pages, update links, set redirects, check accessibility, and add metadata for better findability and consistency.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining SharePoint sites (Modern and Classic).
• Experience on large intranet or website redevelopment projects.
• Ability to manage own projects and maintain tracking artifacts.
• Ability to identify and communicate issues early to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Migrate content/pages to the Modern SharePoint environment, updating links and redirects.
• Ensure consistency, accessibility, and correct metadata on pages and documents; implement tagging for search improvements.

About the Role

Joiningan Intranet upgrade project with our QLD State Government client, you will utilise your SharePoint skills to help migrate/rebuild the current Intranet from a 'Classic' SharePoint environment (pages and documents/assets) to a new 'Modern' SharePoint environment with a revised IA structure.

Working with a Digital/UX Project Officer and the broader Online team, you will be required to transfer applicable content/pages to the new Modern environment, ensuring links are updated, redirects are in place, pages and modules are checked for consistency, accessibility is checked, and correct metadata added. In addition, search improvements requiring additional metadata/tagging to be added to documents and pages to improve filter options and findability will be required.

Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge and experience in SharePoint Modern and knowledge of SharePoint Classic - building and maintaining pages and managing websites/Intranet sites.
• Skills and experience working on large Intranet (or website) redevelopment projects
• Ability to project manage own work and use and maintain tracking/reporting project artifacts
• Ability and experience to highlight any technical, timing or project related issues early and report back to Digital/UX Project Officer and Executive Manager Online
