Job summary

We are seeking a detail-focused Procurement Officer to provide end-to-end procurement and contract support to operational teams across the region. In this role, you will promote procurement best practice, ensuring contract performance, and delivering value-for-money outcomes within agreed timeframes.

  • Understanding of Ellipse and SAP will be highly desirable.
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration or a related administrative role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to quality, compliance and value for money outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal stakeholders, acting as a first point of contact for procurement-related queries, feedback and advice on instructions, procedures, guidelines and standard forms.
  • Provide purchasing, procurement, administrative and contract management support to operational teams, internal customers and key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working across multiple procurement functions with varying priorities, workloads and outcomes.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of procurement instructions, procedures, guidelines and standard forms, including document creation, updates and version control in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
  • Contribute to a range of procurement-related projects, conducting research, assessing alternative strategies, processes and procedures, and preparing reports and recommendations as required.
  • Process orders and transactions including purchase orders, work orders, field release orders and similar documentation to support the delivery of goods and services across the region.
  • Support the development and delivery of procurement training and induction programs, including preparing training materials, coordinating contractor meetings, taking minutes, and assisting with the presentation of training sessions.
  • Maintain a strong and current understanding of legislative, regulatory and organisational procurement requirements, actively promoting procurement as a critical business function.
  • Contribute positively to team culture by demonstrating professionalism, collaboration and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
