H&M Group is seeking an Accounting Manager for Australia and New Zealand to lead accurate financial reporting, governance and accounting operations across the region. You will partner with regional and global stakeholders to support performance, compliance and continuous improvement.

You will manage month-end, year-end and statutory reporting, tax processes, cash flow, and lead a finance team with two direct reports, collaborating with an offshore shared services centre and local stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' Finance or Accounting Manager experience in a large, high-volume Retail or FMCG business.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA or CA qualification.
• Demonstrated people leadership across multiple business functions.
• Hands-on leadership, building team capability while remaining involved in day-to-day operations.
• Excellent communication, building trusted relationships and acting as escalation point.
• Highly organised with strong time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead delivery of accurate financial reporting across Australia and New Zealand, including month-end and statutory accounts.
• Oversee tax reporting including income tax, transfer pricing, GST and withholding tax.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, journal reviews and financial controls for accuracy.
• Oversee cash flow, forecasting and liquidity in line with business needs and policy.
• Supervise Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Leasing routines and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, statutory requirements and internal policies including audits.
