Job summary

Talenting is building a pool of Practice Nurses for general practice clients across Perth. Roles are available on a full-time, part-time, casual or fixed-term contract basis, with options to be employed directly or placed with the practice.

The role suits Registered Nurses with general practice experience who are confident working independently in a busy clinic. You’ll perform triage, immunisations, wound care, ECGs and pathology collection, plus health assessments and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Ahpra registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Immunisation Certificate and CPR certificate up to date.
• Experience in general practice or primary care.
• Excellent communication and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using clinical software and EMR.
• Experience in chronic disease management and knowledge of general practice accreditation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Triage and support for GPs with assessment and treatment.
• Immunisations and injections including cold chain management.
• Wound care and dressings.
• ECGs, spirometry and pathology collection.
• Assisting with minor procedures.
• Health assessments, care plans and coordination with allied health.
• Patient education, recalls and follow-ups of test results.
• Treatment room management, infection control and stock ordering.
• Occasional reception cover as needed.
