Job summary
St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane – Fitzroy VIC is seeking an ANUM to lead nursing shifts in the Depaul House Residential Withdrawal Unit, coordinating care for patients with substance use issues and comorbidities in a 24‑hour model, including night shifts.
The role requires a nursing qualification with AHPRA registration, post‑registration AOD/MH credentials, and a strong track record in assessment, treatment planning and group program delivery, with a commitment to recovery‑oriented
Qualifications
- Registration by AHPRA as a Division 1 or 3 nurse
- Current practicing certificate (AHPRA)
- Post registration qualification in AOD and/or MH
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or willing to obtain
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the shift to provide high quality consumer‑focused care
- Monitor withdrawal and respond with protocol medications
- Provide leadership and allocate resources on the shift
- Work within the Strengths Model of Recovery Orientated Practice
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and formulate treatment plans; support intake
- Deliver and coordinate group programs within the unit
- Develop responsive services and continuity of care through links with other services
- Night shift roster may be required
