Job summary

SmallPaws Pet Hotel in Sydney's Northern Beaches is looking for a dedicated Animal Attendant to join our intimate team. You will care for small and toy dog breeds and cats with compassion, providing enrichment and daily care on a casual schedule.

Weekend work and varied weekday shifts are required. A reliable car and ability to start at 7:15 AM are needed. We offer training opportunities, paid lunches, and a supportive environment for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends and shifts during the week.
• Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
• A keen eye for detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Strong time management skills and confidence in making decisions.
• Reliable, motivated and passionate about providing the best care for animals.
• Own car and ability to start shifts at 7:15 AM
• Fluent English skills and great communication.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, administering medication, feeding, assessing animals, exercising, enrichment activities and taking footage of our guests including videos and photos.
• Interact and care for small dogs and cats.
• Keep thorough records of the animals in care.

About the role

We’re seeking a dedicated and passionate Animal Attendant to join our small, long-standing teamin this exciting and rare opportunity. You’ll work exclusively with small and toy dog breeds and cats, providing them with the love and care they deserve.

Casual position

Must be able to work weekends and shifts during the week

Perform animal care tasks such as (but not limited to) cleaning, administering medication, feeding, assessing animals, exercising, enrichment activities and taking footage of our guests including videos and photos

Interact and care for small dogs and cats

Keep thorough records of the animals in care
