Job summary

Randstad is seeking a skilled Native Android Engineer to join a fast-moving delivery squad embedded within Australia’s premier digital banking transformation program.

You will bridge payments innovation and modern digital banking, delivering secure, callable native mobile capabilities from the ground up and collaborating with cross-functional teams within an agile framework.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience engineering robust, high volume native Android applications.
• Strong hands on expertise with Kotlin, Jet pack Compose, Co routines, and Room.
• Solid understanding of mobile security principles, API integration, and performance optimisation.
• Exposure to banking, payments, digital wallets, or card management systems is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative mindset tailored for cross functional agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Build native Android features focused on card activation, flexible transaction controls, and payment provisioning journeys.
• Partner closely with product, design, architecture, and QA teams across an agile delivery framework.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable Kotlin code using standard modern architecture patterns.
• Contribute to CI pipelines, mobile security best practices, and code health.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between global payments innovation and modern digital banking, engineering secure, callable, and delightful native mobile capabilities from the ground up.

The Role

As a core engineer in this embedded squad, you will:

• Build native Android features focused on card activation, flexible transaction controls, and payment provisioning journeys.

• Partner closely with product, design, architecture, and QA teams across an agile delivery framework.

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable Kotlin code using standard modern architecture patterns.

• Contribute to continuous integration pipelines, mobile security best practices, and co debase health.

The Tech Stack & Environment

• Language & Core: Kotlin, Android Studio

• Architecture: Jet pack Compose, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles

• Asynchronous & Storage: Kotlin Co routines, Flow, Room database

• Tooling & Process: CI/CD, automated unit testing
